The West Midlands Consortium is based at the highly successful Thomas Telford School in Telford and linked to 30 schools across the West Midlands. The consortium consists of a diverse range of schools including a City Technology College, City Academies, LEA maintained, Foundation schools and an independent College. The majority of West Midlands Consortium Schools are Specialist Schools including: Technology, Performing Arts, Business & Enterprise, Science and Sports Colleges.

The Consortium has been successfully operating School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) PGCE Courses since 1993 and has subject routes in Design & Technology, Information & Communication Technology and Physical Education. Total numbers on the PGCE programme are 43. The PGCE programme is validated by Staffordshire University.

The Consortium is also an Accredited Provider for the Graduate Teacher Programme and has 22 Secondary places each year across a wide range of subject areas including: Mathematics, English, Science, MFL, Humanities, Music and ICT.

Applicants must have a degree in a related subject area and GCSE grade C or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
